Author: Dr. Neil Scott

Release date: March 2017

Price: £3.50

Summary: Multiple Regression is a statistical technique widely used in the social sciences and this primer provides an introduction to the idea as well as reassuringly straightforward insights into some of its more advanced features. Using simple explanations and examples the user is walked through a series of increasingly ambitious analysis including simple multiple regression, stepwise, sequential/hierarchical regression as well as lots of useful things like ‘R2 change’ and residuals. The data used in the studies is available from this website, employing Excel and IBM’s SPSS™ software although the text should be useful to users of other software packages.

Download files – Just click on the files below.  Please note that whilst the studies use IBM’s SPSS™ software, we are not currently able to download them onto this website, so all the files below are Excel files (*.xlsx).  Guidance on how to load these into SPSS is provided in the book. You may not get the labels though – we’re working on that.
